Dad...I said I would be there in a minute!

Wow - it does feel like leaves...

Valentines Day 2010

Happy Valentines Day! Today was pretty laid back. We went to mass and then out to lunch. Brooke fell asleep in the car on the way back home. When she woke up, she helped me clean out my closet, which was a mess! We had to downsize the shoe supply by 25 pairs b/c the closet was getting a bit cramped. She was so sweet today and we had a great time playing. She also watched some of the Daytona 500 with daddy. Dinner then bed soon after ~ she had a very long day. I thought she would stay up longer since she doesn't have school tomorrow, but she didn't last long. Mom has to take the second shift tomorrow so I had better make this short and get to bed early so I can get up early. According to the forecast, we are supposed to get 3-4 inches of snow...the kids are even sick of staying home I think. We hope everyone had a great Valentines Day. Love, Christy, Jeff & Brooklynn XOXOXO

Mom & Dad - you can run but you can't hide...

Would you be my Valentine?

Silly Pics

Mommy, pick me up...pleeeeeeze...please? Pick...Me...Up...Now!

Brooklynn is back in school and feeling great (knock on wood). She is learning new things every day in the Toddler "Transition" Room. She loves story time and helps the teacher turn the pages. We read her about 4-5 books a night now ~ and sometimes the same book more than once. She especially loves the texture books. She has one called "Little Feet Love..." where she feels the pages with her little feet. Every time we read this book, she takes one of her socks off so she can use her foot to feel the textures, such as, grass, leaves, cotton, etc. She also loves music time and shapes art projects. Ms. Cynthia says she likes to push a little chair around the room and then sits in it when she is tired of walking around (pretty smart if you ask me).

She has learned some new words: "night-night", book, milk, bath, Donna and backpack (from Dora the Explorer). She said Brooklynn the other day, but we haven't been able to get her to say it again. She can point out A and B when we play with the sponge letters during bath time. We are also trying to learn two colors: blue and red. She also has four new teeth on top, which all came in at once - good times.

This week we have been dressing in reds and pinks for Valentines Day! Washing, drying and ironing her clothes takes longer than Jeff and mine put together...plus her closet and dresser are full (um...do you think anyone would believe me if I blamed Jeff??). Kim had better have a girl when she gets pregnant. Speaking of being pregnant, congratulations to David, Nikki, Alanna and Lizzy B...I guess it is time for a boy ~ which means they will probably have another beautiful girl...lol.

We have the big V-Day party on Friday at school and Brooklynn is bringing mini cupcakes. We are excited to hand out her first Valentines!!

We are ready for Spring! I am tired of the cold, dreary days (I guess it could be worse, like Nebraska; sorry mom and dad). I hope the weather turns nice next month because we are scheduling her 1-year pictures and would like to take some outside shots.
Happy Valentines Day! Love, Christy, Jeff & Brooklynn XOXOXOXO

Do you think dad will miss his hat?
