Did the Groundhog see his shadow?
The last couple of days Brooklynn hasn't been feeling well and was home from school, which ended up being a good thing because the weather turned bad on Friday afternoon. For once the meteorologists were accurate...we have 4 inches of snow in Smyrna with an inch of ice on top. AND it just started snowing again this morning. Yikes. Of course the whole city will shut down for the rest of the weekend and the kids will be out of school next week. Crazy!! Good thing we have milk and bread....LOL.
Brooklynn is doing great in the Toddler Room. There are two boys and two girls in the transition room. One of her buddies from the Infant Room has joined her as well, so at least there is a familiar face.
We are all just hanging in the house today with the fireplace going and watching the snow. Hope everyone is having a great weekend as well.
Love, Christy,Brooklynn and Jeff

Brooklynn's first day in the Toddler Transition Room
Today Brooklynn had her first full day in the Toddler Transition Room. Miss Cynthia said she had a great day! She ate well and played with the other kids. She helped Miss Cynthia turn the pages of the book during story time and loved dancing during music time...so far her moves remind me of Jeff, but hopefully she will improve over time...LOL.
We just can't believe our beautiful little girl is growing up so fast. We love her so much and no matter how bad of a day we may be having, the second we see her face and how excited she is to see us, it makes everything better.
She is saying more words like blue, book, Pa, and bath. We are starting to see her learn more independence. She is crawling up the stairs...fast. We need to get the gates up soon! She opens every drawer and cabinet in the bathroom and kitchen. However, she still leaves everything in the living room alone (knock on wood).
We hope she continues to have fun in the Toddler Transition Room. We love you baby!
