Christmas Eve was so much fun. We all spent the day together making cookies for Santa and playing. Brooklynn wrote a note to Santa and put out cookies, milk and her pacifier for Santa. She thought she had put too many cookies out and volunteered to eat one...it was cute. After setting out the cookies and milk we opened one present each (a long time tradition in our family). Brooke picked out Aunt Nikki's present. Nikki was her Secret Santa and that WAS the biggest box. She tore off the paper and Daddy helped her pull out the Biggest, fluffiest, did I mention BIGGEST stuffed puppy dog I have ever seen. Thanks Nikki! The thing is about 6 feet long and so soft; she loves to bounce up and down on his neck. We haven't named him yet, but I am thinking "huge dog that mommy has no room for" could be the front runner...LOL.
We ended the night drinking the traditional orange sherbert ginger ales and read TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS before she fell fast asleep. Jeff and I began getting ready for Christmas morning. I put out all of her gifts while Jeff put together one of her toys...I told him this was the first of many Christmas toys he would be assembling. It was so fun getting everything ready and seeing all of the gifts she would wake up to the next morning. I have to admit, I felt like my mother...going overboard - but it was so fun and now I know why she does it...hehehehe. We had a blast and have memories that will last forever.
Love, Christy, Jeff and Brooklynn
